Today in Los Angeles

Today in Los Angeles, heroes in yellow turned into angels.

As flames roared and smoke thickened, a crew of brave firefighters pushed through the heat to rescue a big, terrified dog—soot on his fur, fear in his eyes, but a heartbeat full of fight. They wrapped him in a blanket, offered gentle words, water, and safety. In that moment, the sirens faded and all that mattered was compassion.

To the firefighters who rush toward danger so others can live—thank you from the bottom of my heart.   Your courage reminds us that kindness is stronger than any blaze.

Let’s all do our part: secure pets, prepare go-bags, support local shelters, and back the crews who keep our communities safe.
Stay safe, L.A.—and hug your animals a little tighter tonight.
