MEET YUKI — THE LOCAL HERO WHO FOUND THE VICTIMS FIRST

Amid the heartbreaking landslide along the Bukidnon-Davao Road in Palacapao, Quezon, one unlikely hero stood out — Yuki, an Aspin (Filipino native dog) from Opol, Misamis Oriental.

It was Yuki — or Miyuki, as locals call her — who first detected the location of the elderly couple buried beneath the debris. Her instincts and bravery guided rescuers straight to them.

Alongside fellow K9 heroes Venom, Paul, and Bella, Yuki proved that heroism isn’t about breed or pedigree — it’s about heart, courage, and loyalty.
