President Obama hosted his sixth and final White House Science Fair

in 2013: President Obama hosted his sixth and final White House Science Fair, welcoming young innovators from across the country.

He got a firsthand look at their bright ideas, creativity, and problem-solving spirit.
In a speech to more than 130 students — from elementary, middle, and high schools — President Obama emphasized how science and innovation can help the next generation tackle our greatest challenges.

“Whether you’re fighting cancer, combatting climate change, feeding the world, or writing code that leads to social change, you are sharing in this essential spirit of discovery that America’s built on.”

Next year, when the Museum at the Obama Presidential Center opens its doors, visitors will have the chance to be inspired by some of the young changemakers who once visited the White House—and discover how each of us can help shape a better future.
