A Plea from the Little Bat 🦇🖤

Hello, I’m a bat.
I know I might look strange to you — wings like shadows, eyes that shine in the dark — but I promise, I mean no harm. 🌙

I don’t drink blood.
I don’t want to get tangled in your hair.
Most nights, I just fly under the stars, chasing mosquitoes and tiny insects that would otherwise bother you. 🦟✨

Sometimes, I get lost.
The night lights confuse me. The noise and glare make it hard to find my way home. So if I ever fly into your house, please — don’t scream, don’t hit me with a broom or a stick. I’m not attacking you… I’m just scared. 💔

Here’s what you can do instead:
Turn off the lights inside.
Turn one light on outside.
Open a window or a door, and give me a little time. I’ll follow the light back to the night sky. 🚪💡🌌

If you ever find me resting on the floor or clinging to a curtain, weak and trembling — please, don’t hurt me.
Use a soft towel or cloth, gently scoop me up, and place me somewhere safe outdoors, high enough that I can take flight again. 🌿

You may never see me again, but I’ll remember your kindness in my own quiet way — by eating thousands of mosquitoes, moths, and crop pests that disturb your sleep and harm your fields. 🕊️

My family and I are losing our roosts as old trees fall and abandoned buildings are torn down. Each night, it’s harder to find a safe place to rest. The world is changing fast, and sometimes it feels like it’s forgetting us. 🌲🏚️

So please — be gentle.
Be kind.
Let us share the night.

We don’t want to frighten you.
We just want to live, too. 🤍🌌🦇
