On a Thursday afternoon in Chattanooga, a fire broke out at a homeless encampment.

Firefighters from Engine 21, Ladder 7, Squad 7, and Engine 6 quickly controlled the blaze, but amid the smoke, a tiny kitten suffering minor burns was discovered.

The crew rescued the vulnerable little one and rushed it to the McKamey Animal Center, where it received care, warmth, and medical attention. Thanks to quick action and compassion, the kitten survived and began its journey to recovery.
